Hospital Stay

In some cases it is necessary for your pet to stay in the hospital. We do everything we can to keep your pets happy and relaxed, since we know how much pets mean to their families.

Please do not leave anything with your pet. We provide pets with all the comforts they need to stay happy.

Visiting times

Monday – Friday: 09:00-18:00
Saturday: 11:00-17:00
Sunday and public holidays: 13:00-16:00

Please stick to the visiting times in order for our staff to take proper care of your pets. Owners are requested to visit their pets for a maximum of one hour.

Anaesthesia

Pets having an anaesthetic are not allowed to have food after 10:00 the night before admission. This means that pets are not allowed to eat 12 hours before receiving anaesthetic. They are also not allowed to have breakfast. Pets are allowed water before they receive anaesthetic. This prevents vomiting on induction or recovery.

Please arrive between 07:00 and 08:00 on the day your pet is receiving anaesthetic.

You will be required to sign a hospital consent form.

Do not hesitate to share any information with us that you think we should know, or to ask us about anything that you are unsure of. Usually pets receiving routine procedures will be allowed to go home before 16:00, but please call us to make sure before you collect your pet.

You can rest assured that we do everything we can to reduce the risks associated with anaesthesia. We tailor an anaesthetic protocol for individual patients.

Complex Medical Cases

In some cases pets have to undergo tests before a prognosis can be given. These tests may include blood tests, X-rays, MRI’s and ultrasound scans. If your pet has to stay with us for tests to be completed, you can rest assured that we have a team of nurses in our high care ward that are qualified to monitor and care for your pet.
